Jaya Devi, who had directed films like Nalam Nalamariya Aaval and Vilangu Meen is all set to direct her next film. She has titled the film Aananda Leelai. According to Jaya Devi, Aananda Leelai is about a fake Godman and his women devotees. The director says that the movie is aimed at creating awareness among women against fake Godmen.While speaking about the film, she said,” Now a days lot of false God Men are increasing in great numbers in our country. The women who are fascinated by their talks become slaves of them. The screenplay has been designed in such a way to create awareness. I am directing this film myself.
I am in search of an actor for the role of a false God man. There is a role of a tough woman police officer in this film. I have selected Kushboo for this role. Kushboo is my friend.
I am talking about this film to her. Do not expect that there will be titillating scenes in the film since it is titled Ananda Leelai. This film is meant for women. I am a person who fights for women liberation. So there is no chance for titillating scenes in this film. This film is not against divinity. This film is against superstitions like black magic and soothsayers.”
