Sridevi's tryst with painting has taken off on a terrific note, what with celebrated auction house Christie's handpicking her painting 'Thoughts'. And goaded by its success, Sridevi, a major fan of the late singing legend Michael Jackson, has fleshed him out with her deft brush strokes.What's better, her painting has been studded with high end crystals… and the scintillating end result is being lauded in all the right art circles. Reportedly, the painting is slated to travel around the world with exhibitions in Mumbai, London and Dubai.
A reliable source, close to the Kapoors, reveals, "Sridevi has fine tuned herself to become a good painter. In her painting of pop legend Michael Jackson, Sridevi has used costly crystals and MJ' s gloves have been studded with them. The timing could not have been more timely. Galleries feel that this painting done by a high profile celebrity could fetch a very high price."
Hubby Boney Kapoor expresses his glee in a tabloid quote stating, "There is a huge exhibition that we have planned at Dubai in August. We are all very excited with the kind of response that her MJ painting has received from the art fraternity."
