His Siddique directed Kaavalan has made it finally to cinema theatres today (Pongal day, January 15) in Tamil Nadu!
After five days of hectic last minute financial negotiations between producers, distributors and others concerned Kaavalan prints finally left the lab on Saturday morning.
The buzz is that Vijay had to shell out his entire salary and some extra money to see the film reach the audiences.
Kaavalan is releasing only in India, overseas release of the film will happen only next week.
As of now due to last minute release, the film has not got good screens outside of Chennai.
By today evening the fate of the movie will be known and depending on that more theatres will screen the film.
