Karthika says she is comfortable in Tamil

Karthika has acted in three languages. When asked her in which language she was comfortable, she said,’ Basically I am a Malayalee. But I debuted as an actress through a Telugu film. Since the language was new to me, it was little difficult. Similarly in the Malayalam film Magara Manju there were lots of Sanskrit words.


This was also difficult for me. But as far as Tamil is concerned I was very much comfortable. So I prefer Tamil films. It is also easy to act in Tamil films. I like the films Azhaigal Oyvadhillai, Mudhal Mariyadhai and Engeyo Ketta Kural in which my mother Radha had acted.


My mother Radha and her sister Ambika were leading actresses in Tamil cinema. They have acted with all the big actors. Don’t compare my acting with theirs.”
