Choreographer-turned-director Lawrence Raghavendra is a really demanding man these days. Following the fantastic hit ‘Kanchana’, follow-up to his hit movie Muni. Lawrence is at present busy with his Telugu film ‘Rebel’, which has Prabhas and Anushka in the lead roles. Sarathkumar plays the role of a transgender in Kanchana, produced by Sri Thenandal Films. Rumors flourish that Bollywood superstar ‘Salman Khan’ is likely to remake actor-director-choreographer Lawrence's runaway Tamil-Telugu hit Kanchana in Hindi, Kanchana's lead lady Lakshmi Rai implied that she might be element of Hindi version as well. The actress, currently in London, was talking to an important newspaper.
While we Asked whether she would be doing the Hindi translation of Kanchana, Lakshmi Rai said: "If all goes fine, who knows? I don't want to say something right now, but I heard that Salman Khan prized the film and he is eager to direct me."
The actress also said that Kanchana was a particular film for her and a lot of people linked with it. "It is the straightforwardness and comedy that worked in favor and it's a 'double dhamaka' for me. I honestly feel that I deserved a solo hit in Tamil, after being here for such a long time. I saw the film in Telugu before I took off to London and was stunned to see the viewer’s feedback in theatres. From the launch, we knew that it would work with B and C stations, but cinema complex viewers lapping it up was a blow."
