Vijay fans are in for a treat this Deepavali, as the Ilaya Thalapathi's Velayudham is getting ready to hit the screens.
Produced by Aascar Films V Ravichandran and directed by Jayam M Raja, it has Vijay playing the lead role of a good samaritan, along with Genelia D'Souza and Hansika Motwani. It's music scored by Vijay Antony.
Director Jayam Raja is all hopes on Velayudham 'It is a racy movie that is big and beautiful, racy and riveting, sharp and suave,' he says.
Jayam Raja says, ' it was my desire to do a movie with Vijay for a long time. He is a real mass hero who has a strong screen presence. A pacy script with enough commercial elements for Vijay would do wonders'.
On his experience working with Vijay, he says, ' though he enjoys huge stardom, he is humble and down-to-earth. He knows his strength a lot. Vijay is a director's actor. I learnt on dedication towards one's profession and punctuality working with him'.
Finally, Vijay says, 'it is the desire of every actor in the industry to do the role of a messiah of the masses. I am no exception. When Jayam Raja narrated the script, I was impressed and it was exactly the one that I was looking for. I am happy with the output and eagerly looking forward for Velayudham's release'.
