Mambattiyan audio launch will be telecast live on Sun TV. This film which was released in 1983 starred Thiagarajan and Saritha in the lead roles and went on to become a cult hit. Thiagarajan decided to remake this film with his son Prashanth playing the lead role. He is the producer and director of Mambattiyan, it may be mentioned here.


He has roped in Meera Jasmine to play the female lead with Mumaith Khan, Vadivelu and Prakash Raj in important roles.


The songs have been set to tunes by Thaman and expectations are high because Silambarasan has rendered the song Kaatuvazhi.
