S P Balasubrahmanyam to enter direction

He is a legendary singer, a good actor and a noted producer. Now, S P Balasubrahmanyam, whose voice is enthralling south Indians for over four decades, will turn a director. He will soon wield the megaphone for a Telugu movie.


SPB himself has confirmed this, while speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the inauguration of a private hospital at Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh. "The storyline is ready for my directorial venture," he said.


The popular playback singer said things will be made official soon, as soon as they are finalized. He also said that he is playing a vital role in a Tollywood movie titled 'Gopuram' and is happy to host a talent show 'Paduthaa Thiyagaa' on a Telugu channel.


SPB, the voice behind 1000s of evergreen songs in south Indian languages, is a popular actor too in Kollywood. Some of the films which stand testimony to his acting skills are 'Sigaram', 'Kadhalan', 'Ullasam' and 'Ratchagan'
