GV Prakash recording his first tunes for 2012

The New Year has just dawned and it is getting bigger and brighter for the young music director and composer GV Prakash. While 2011 saw a lot of brilliant tunes from GV in the form of music albums like 'Aadukalam,' 'Deiva Thirumagal,' and the most recent 'Mayakkam Enna,' the composer has already opened his account, recording his first tunes for 2012.

Prakash has recorded a song for the Vikram starrer 'Thaandavam' which is being directed by AL Vijay. His previous association with Vijay ('Madrasapattinam' and 'Deiva Thirumagal') has resulted in huge hits with a commendable response for Prakash's songs. GV who ropes in singers from across the country for his albums has roped in a new talent, Vandhana, to sing a song in 'Thaandavam.' This is her first stint at crooning films songs and she has sung it with Haricharan. The composer is positive that Vandhana will go a long way with her voice.

'Thaandavam' has Vikram and Anushka Shetty playing the leads. Quite contrary to Vijay's pervious film 'Deiva Thirumagal,' 'Thaandavam,' as the name implies, will see Vikram kicking dust, in a hardcore action hero's role. The film also sees Amy Jackson essaying an important role. Cinematography for this film is by Nirav Shah and 'Thaandavam' is produced by UTV Motion Pictures.
