Kristen Stewart to Make First Public Appearance at Toronto Film Festival, More Lineup Details Revealed

In the wake of her cheating scandal, Kristen Stewart will make her first public appearance by walking the red carpet for the premiere of her new film On the Road, which will help kick off the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival next month. But one person we don't expect to accompany her is ex-boyfriend Robert Pattinson, who's been making the publicity rounds in support of his latest flick, Cosmopolis.
As Twi-hards and the rest of the world know by now, after going into hiding post-apology to her longtime beau, it wasn't until Monday that the 22-year-old actress finally stepped out, photographed on a Los Angeles street in rolled-up jeans and a white T-shirt. On the Road, a film adaptation of Jack Kerouac's classic novel of the same name, will be screened as a TIFF "special presentation" on the festival's opening night.
It will not, however, be shown in competition. The fact that Stewart has chosen this event for her first official outing means she definitely won't be attending the Sept. 6 MTV Video Music Awards to promote the upcoming final Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn: Part 2, though still no word whether Pattinson will make an appearance.
