Samantha had recently managed to watch debutant director Karthik Subbaraj's Pizza and she has praised the team and director on her micro blogging site. She has even recommended others to watch the film.

She had tweeted "The most amazing film in a long time... Pizza... Edge of my seat every min.. Kudos to the director brilliant performance by vijay. Extraordinary music by santhosh and brilliant cinematography...crazy crazy brilliance..so very happy to be part of this industry.
