Idhayendran’s heart was rushed amidst heavy traffic to hospital and there it was fitted into a child. The instance has created awareness regarding organ donation not alone in Tamil Nadu, but whole of India. Based on this real life instance, movie ‘Traffic’ was released in Malayalam. The movie was directed by Bobby ad Sanjay. The movie turned a huge hit.
Radhika Sarathkumar is remaking the movie with title ‘Chennaiyil Oru Naal’ in Tamil. The movie is direction by Shahid Khader, assistant to Bobby and Sanjay. The movie has stars as Sarathkumar, Radhika, Prakash Raj, Prasanna, Parvathi, Iniya and Aishwarya. The movie is being made with story such that the heart is taken from Chennai to Vellore. The shooting for the movie is over and dubbing, editing schedules are in progress.
As the movie would create awareness regarding organ donation, Sarathkumar is into efforts to star Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa in the movie.
Reportedly, Sarathkumar has decided to include scene in which Chief Minister appreciates the Police Officer, ambulance driver, doctor, assistant and traffic police who assist in taking the heart safely to the hospital. At the least, Sarathkumar desires including scene such that Jayalalithaa speaks of organ donation in the opening scene of the movie.
Production circles have conveyed that Sarathkumar has brought it to the attention of Chief Minister and that once green signal is received, he would shoot scene of Chief Minister’s choice. Also, it is reported that arrangements are in progress to make Chief Minister Jayalalithaa preside over audio launch of the movie.
