Mannan Films filed a case against Mani Ratnam

Mannan Films filed a case against Mani Ratnam for heavy losses incurred by Kadal. Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies clarified that they have no connections with Mannan Films as they have issued all rights to Gemini Film Circuits.

Mannan films bought the rights of Kadal for 16 crores from Gemini Film Circuits. But movie has got only 2 to 3 crores from the theatres. So, Mannan Films filed a case against Mani Ratnam and also attacked his house.

A petition was filed at Abhiramapuram police station, on behalf of Mani Ratnam, seeking protection for his house. Commissioner of Police has arranged a personal protection to Mani Ratnam.
