His films Kalloori and Vaalmiki were both serious films with not much of action. But now, Akhil is coming up with an action packed thriller in 'Karuppar Nagaram'. The film is reported to have an unique plot and in no way will be related to cliched rural stories, which are quite portrayed in Kollywood now.
The film is to be directed by Nataraj Gopi, a debutante. The music for the film is by Deva and the camera work is by LK Keerthi. Produced by the duo of R Sivakumar and M Bala, the film is to hit the screens by the end of the year.
