Genelia participating in IIFA

Many superstars have pulled themselves away from participating in the IIFA function held in Sri Lanka. At this instance, Genelia who got introduced to the industry through Shankar’s film ‘Boys’ is participating in the IIFA function as a special guest.

Genelia who started of her career by the flick ‘Boys’ then acted in ‘Sachin’ and ‘Santhosh Subramanian’ in Tamil. There was also news that Genelia is one of the heroines in Vijay’s film ‘Velayutham’. After getting introduced in Tamil, Genelia continued to act in Telugu and Hindi films. Genelia hails from Goa. She is in love with the son of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilas Rao Desh Mukh.

Ritesh Desh Mukh is in Srilanka  to attend the IIFA function and  now Genelia too follows him.

Genelia has gone to attend the function well knowing the consequences she and her films would be facing in future. Last year  when the Nadigar Sangam was protesting for the rights of Tamil people in Sri Lanka, Genelia didn’t participate in the protest. When enquired, Genelia told that she was not part of Nadigar Sangam and later apologized for saying so.
