Problems have bee created because Asin has on gone to Sri Lanka for Hindu film Ready shooting.Recently the IIFA function was held in Sri Lanka. Various federations of Tamil cinema wanted the film fraternity to boycott this function .Because of thus many of the Kollywood and some Bollywood stars did not participate in thus event. Bollywood actors like Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan participated in this event. Because of this Hrithik Roshan’s Kites was taken out of the theatre.
Salman Khan who participated in the function was given red carpet welcome by the Sri Lankan Government and was also invited to shoot the Hindi film Ready in Sri Lanka. Salman Khan had agreed to this. He changed the venue to Sri Lanka from Mauritius. Asin is pairing with Salman Khan in this film. Many federation requested her to not to act in this film. But Asin without giving heed to this, continues to act in the Hindi film. Nadigar Sangam general secretary Radha Ravi said that she has no given heed to restrictions imposed by the federation and hence disciplinary action will be in initiated against her.
Asin who was shooting in Sri Lanka said,” I am an actress. I don’t have the right to select the locations. Producer and director only select the locations. In spite of this I told about this, but they were not ready to hear. I cannot go against the decisions made by the producers. I am not a politician and hence don’t get me entangled in any problem. Last month the Indian Cricket match was held here. Navy admiral had come to Sri Lanka for sightseeing. Daily five plans carrying Indian tourists are coming to Sri Lanka from India. When the situation is that, is it right for them to comment on me. Acting is my profession. I have come here to do this. Cinema and sports are common. They should not be politicized. Sri Lankan Tamil people met me. They encouraged my acting. I have a lot of Tamil fans there.
