Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi watched a special screening of Arya starred Madrasapattinam directed by Vijay at Four Frames Preview theatre. After the show, Kalaignar M Karunanidhi, who has witnessed the Chennai of yesteryears, congratulated Vijay for showing an authentic Chennai which seemed so real. He was also in praise of the effort that has gone into the making of ‘Madrasapattinam’.
Madrasapattinam has been garnering a lot of critical acclaim and all media reviews have been positive for the film. The film has been doing good collections at the box office in all the theatres where the film was released.
