Gautham Menon’s ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya’ remade in Hindi from Today

Earlier it was said that the ace director Gautham Menon’s biggest Tamil hit ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya’ is to be remade in Hindi soon and Ambika Hinduja’s Serendipity Films has acquired the releasing rights of the film and Gautham Menon will direct and produce the film under RS Infotainment banner with Photon Kathaas and Mumbai’s Purple Arts in Hindi. The latest news is that the shooting of this romantic remake in Hindi has started today.
It was also reported that Trisha will play the lead role in Hindi version also. Prateik Babbar is going to play Simbu’s role. A R Rahman, who did the original would be composing the tunes for Hindi version also while Antony handles editing, art by Rajeevan and cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa.
Two new tunes has been composed for the Hindi version of ‘VTV’ by the music director A R Rahman of which one will be a duet and the other will be a solo song on hero. The Tamil version ‘VTV’ had seven songs and Hindi has eight tunes.
Trisha told “I’m really excited about doing the VTV remake in Hindi. It is a challenge and you will see me in better focus than my debut film in Hindi.”
