Neetu Chandra has got the privilege of running with the torch of Commonwealth GamesBollywood Neetu Chandra has got the privilege of running with the torch of Commonwealth Games in her home town this week. She is one of the lucky Bollywood celebrities, who got the honorable opportunity.

The torch, which is famously known as “Queen’s Baton’, will reach New Delhi at the venue of the 2010 Commonwealth Games on October 3, 2010 on the opening ceremony. Before this, it will travel 70 nations of the Commonwealth and will tour across India, where millions of people will join in the celebration.

Neetu Chandra was selected to carry the Torch in Patna because of her active association in sports activities. She is a Black Belt 2nd Dan holder besides being a regular basketball player. The actress took part in different national and international level martial arts tournaments.

After running with the “Queen’s Baton’, Neetu said, “I am highly honored to get the chance of running with the torch as Commonwealth Games promote international integration. I was getting goose bumps in excitement. It felt like carrying a power baton and offered me different kind of high. I felt proud as well as responsible carrying this”.
