Shahid Kapoor recently filmed a scene for Mausam wearing a Scottish kilt. We are just glad it's not winter in Scotland, where he shot the scene, because frost bite is bad enough on toes…
"Father insisted .. So doing a shot in a Scottish kilt right now ... Quite cool .. N airy to say the least .." Shahid Tweeted this morning.
We have yet to get over recently published on set photos of Shahid looking debonair dressed as an Air Force fighter pilot and now this. Shahid in a kilt! How much better can it get?
Kudos to Shahid's father and the film's director, Pankaj Kapoor, to come up with something new for his first film, while paying a 'handsome' tribute to the country that is hosting the film's unit.
We have loved the information about the film that Shahid has been sharing over Twitter, especially the promise of old world charm in the film. For example, Shahid will be seen wooing his love interest in the film, Sonam Kapoor, over waltz.
"Waltzing with the beautiful sonam .. :) pleasure !" he Tweeted two days back.
The Scottish kilt, made famous by fierce warriors of the Scottish Highlands, is considered one of the most macho garments. Hollywood Stars who have bared their legs through it include:
Mel Gibson as William Wallace in Braveheart (1995), Liam Neeson as the legendary kilt-wearing Scottish outlaw in Rob Roy (1995), and the one most talked about in recent times, Samuel L. Jackson in action thriller Formula 51 (2001).
