Ilayaraja & Vairamuthu Joined their hands in Mangatha

Ilayaraja & Vairamuthu Joined their hands in Mangatha
It is unpleasant when disputes crop up between friends or colleagues or between anyone.Kollywood has had its share of disputes and misunderstandings where long standing working relationships have gone for a toss. Ilayaraja - Vairamuthu duo face off must be one of the most long standing clashes in Kollywood.

Ilayaraja and Vairamuthu- Two men who were the best in their fields. One created a revolution in the world of music, with his unforgettable tunes, mixing up the best of Indian folk, classical and Western influences. Another was a man who has earned him a distinct place in the larger arena of Tamil language and literature and continues to be Tamilnadu’s most favorite film song lyricist and poet even today.

And when these 2 geniuses came together, it resulted in MAGIC. ’Idhu Oru Pon Malai Poluthu’, ‘Poongatru Thirumbuma’, ‘andhi mazhai pozhigiradhu’, are just to name a few.

The clash all started when Vairamuthu made an off the cuff remark about Ilayaraja at a public function. It did not go down well with Ilayaraja and the legend has it that they have never been able to get back on talking terms.

The music lovers have been expecting for a long time for the duo to join their hands together again. Here is the answer to the long awaited question.

Yuvan Shankar Raja, son of ace musician Ilayaraja, is scoring the music for Mankatha, the Ajith starrer. Yuvan is now said to have roped in his dad for a song written by Kaviyarasu Vairamuthu. After a long time Ilayaraja will be singing for a song written by Vairamuthu and this song will be the highlight of the film it is said.

Another interesting news aaround the corner is , for the first time Maestro Ilayaraja will be singing a song composed by son Yuvan, who will also join father by rendering his voice.
