After the stupendous success of Enthiran, Shankar has moved on to his next project is remaking of 3 idiots and cast of the movie is actor Ilayathalapathy Vijay playing as Aamir Khan’s role. And GFC apporched Madhavan but refused and he made it clear that he will not be a part of the movie but Shankar wanted Madhavan to play the role he had done in the original. And Sharman Joshya’s role has been offered to Siddharth, who is unlikely to do it.

Gemini Film Circuit had earlier remade Munnabhai MBBS into Tamil as Vasool Raja and recently Telugu hit Arya as Kutty in Tamil. GFC has the remake rights of 3 Idiots in all south Indian languages.

Recently Gemini Film Circuit, who incidentally has distributed the Hindi version Robot. And Shankar met all the 3 idiot’s team of director Raju Hirani, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Aamir khan. He must have probably getting tips from them.
