Sneha I love putting a smile on everybody's face

Sneha I love putting a smile on everybody's face
Her sunshine smile is good enough to light up a room. That's the way Sneha is. Last week, the actress celebrated her birthday by going to a temple in the morning and later spending the day at an orphanage and bringing a smile on the face of the less privileged kids.

"I love putting a smile on everybody's face. My motto in life is to be happy and bring joy to everyone around."

Last month, the actress had two releases simultaneously — the long-delayed Tamil-Malayalam bi-lingual, Vande Mataram, in which she shared screen space with Mammootty and Arjun, and the Malayalam flick, Shikar, with Mohanlal. Surprisingly, in both these films, she had blink-and-miss roles.

Sneha says, "I have no control over the final product that appears on screen. In Vande Mataram, the story that was narrated to me was changed during the making and I'm told my role was drastically reduced. I think you should go and ask the director why my role was cut, because I have no idea about it. As far as Shikar is concerned, I knew that I was the pivot around which the film revolves and, doing a film with Lalettan (Mohanlal) was a dream come true. I shot for less number of days for Shikar than Vande Mataram and now, with Shikar turning out to be a super hit, I'm flooded with offers in Malayalam."

Sneha is grounded and matter-of-fact when she says, "As an actress, I loved doing films like Autograph, Pirivom Sandhippom, Achachamundu! Achachamundu!, which were critically acclaimed, but it is commercial films like a Silambattam or Pandi that gives you the reach. I would like to do a mix of commercial and class films."

Sneha has a point as she is one of the top endorsers of various products and the ad world believes that she has that rare quality of being popular with the family audiences and the youth at the same time thanks to her screen image.

Meanwhile, the actress is gung-ho about her next release, Bhavani IPS, a remake of yesteryear heroine Vijayshanthi's Vyjayanthi IPS. Says Sneha, "I'm really kicked about doing my first full-length action film, in which I have done some spectacular action scenes."

The film, she tells, is totally different from what she has done so far. "It has been one of my toughest assignments. It took me three days to look and act like Bhavani and believe me, I was told not to smile, and curb my soft nature on screen and look tough and mean!," the actress reveals. She also has Murattu Kaalai, Vidiyal and Ponnar Shankar in her kitty.
