Yet another love story strikes the screen for this Diwali.Our audience never fail to watch a good love story.Mynaa is such similar film which came up with a true love story. The film even before its release was showered with praises by all the celebrities of Kollywood.This is a rare film and moreover movies like this will be made once in blue moon.
The story of the film is based on a true love story between two tribal youngsters.Vidharth played the role of Suruli and Amala Paul aka Anaka as Mynaa.The story starts in a village Kurangadi, which is quite near to Theni and is located in Tamilnadu and Kerala border.Surali is a endearing vagrant.His passes away the day he was born and his father is fit for nothing guy.He meets Mynaa at very younger stages and helps her family.Surali at the first look itself loves her. The girl who comes to his love accepts him and will plan to settle her rest of her life with him. Meanwhile her mother comes to know about her love, and alike all the parents she separates them and tries for Mynaa’s marriage with a person who is well off in a near by village.Surali comes to know the plan of Mynaa’s mother in a rage beats her mother. Taking this as an opportunity her mother registers a complaint on him at the police station which is near by.Surali will be jailed for 15 days and will be sent to Periyakulam sub jail.Surali who cannot stay away from Mynaa escapes from the jail by giving a punch to superintendent Baskar (Sethu) and a constable Ramaiah (Thambi Ramaiah).These people will go in search of him to his village. Suruli manages to stop the wedding of Myna and she elopes from the place. The journey from village to Theni will let them to face many obstacles and challenges.
Meanwhile Bhaskar and Ramaiah will get to know about Surali and will plan to help them for their marriage. Here comes the entwine to Mynaa in the form of Bhaskar’s wife and her brothers. From here the intriguing story starts and will finally end up on an emotional note.
Performances
Vidharth as hooligan performed well. His dialogue delivery and his body are an added advantage for the film.The director extracted he best from Vidharth.He some where resembled like Vikram in Pithamagan and Karthi in Paruthiveeran.
The female lead Amala gave her best for the character and looked as natural as the original. The character is quite apt for her and did she gave her hundred percent.
Sethu as Bhaskar did extremely well besides this his debut. His body language suited the character of a cop and Ramaiah as Thambi Ramaiah was ok not limiting himself for the comedy track he performed well in few emotional scenes too.
Prabhu Solomon has done a great job in brining the real life incident on screen. It is quite natural did not feel something cinematic on the screen. Cameraman Sukumar captured the locations very well especially the scenes in the forest were shot greatly.
Analysis:
Even though the film is routine love story but it has many attracting facets. The story is quite fresh and new love story. The film attracts the people who got bored of regular commercial films.
