Latest Buzz says Surya is not going to act in Ponniyin Selvan

Ponniyin Selvan is getting confirmed day by day as Sun Pictures is expected to go with the making of the film with a budget of Rs. 125 crore. Mani Ratnam will wield the megaphone for this film, as he is the original author of the adapted screenplay of the film.

Earlier Surya and Vikram were decided for the cast who are the two apt performers for such meaty roles. Many a time, the second heroes of Mani Ratnam’s films have had minuscule screen space and time which has intimidated Suriya.

Since Vikram is the most preferred choice of Mani Ratnam for the lead role, Suriya is afraid of getting very little space beside him. Vikram is also Mani Ratnam’s pet actor who he wanted to cast for more than 15 years. Eventually, he did so in Raavanan.
