It is confirmed news that Lakshmi rai is a part of Ajith starrer Mankatha, which is directed by Venkat Prabhu. Though the actress is currently busy in doing Malayalam films like Christian Brothers, Casanova and Yodha 2 with Mohanlal, she also has hand full projects in Kollywood including Mankatha and Kanchana.Venkat Prabhu will be shooting the introduction song ‘Vilayadu mankatha’ in Bangkok with Ajith and Lakshmi Rai for which the music was composed by Yuvan Shankar raja.
Venkat Prabhu has tweeted that, ‘chilling in Bangkok with master Kalyan’.
Sources revealed that, Lakshmi Rai plays a key role in the film and in a way her character plays a vital role in taking the story forward.
In accord to this Lakshmi Rai is also working with Lawrence for the film titled Kanchana. In an interview Lawrence said, I have retained most of the artistes from Muni in this film and Lakshmi Rai will be playing a very important role.
