Ajith’s 50th film Mankatha Relase date on May 1st 2011

Now it is confirmed that Ajith’s 50th film Mankatha is going to hit the screens on his birthday May 1st. This is an official announcement made by Dayanidhi Alagiri and Vivek Karunakaran of Cloud Nine Productions.

The shooting of the film is moving on a faster pace and the first schedule was wrapped up in Chennai after canning the intro song in Bangkok. Art director Ritesh have erected a huge set of Dharavi slum area in three different places in Chennai. This is a 40 day schedule and the next schedules will happen at Mumbai and Hyderabad.

Venkat Prabhu director of the film is planning to complete the shoot by February and will move to post production works during March and April. Cinematography is done by Sakthi Saravanan. Yuvan Shankar Raja is handling the music, while Vaali, Gangai Amaran are penning the lyrics for this film.
