The film which released on October 1, 2010 celebrated 100 days in 10 screens in Chennai city and suburbs, a unique feat by any yardstick.
The trade buzz is that Enthiran took a new record distributors share of Rs 1.95 Crore from Sathyam Cinemas and Rs 1.25 Crore from Mayajaal.
No other film in history has taken such a huge share from a Chennai screen.
Enthiran proves beyond doubt that Rajinikanth is the emperor of Tamil box-office and has more reach than any other actor in Kollywood.
It also hammers the belief that a media conglomerate led by Kalanithi Maran and his Sun Pictures is required for a big budget extravaganza to penetrate down to the masses.
