Mankatha completed 50% of the shoot and is heading to wrap up the remaining in a short span

Here are the latest updates on Ajith’s 50th film Mankatha based on gambling mafia during IPL cricket season. The film has completed 50 percent of the shoot and is heading to wrap up the remaining in a short span.


Venkat Prabhu director of the film has so far completed three songs, includes title song which was shot in Bangkok, duet between Ajith and Trisha and a kuthu song with Ajith, Premji, Vaibhav and others, both the songs are shot in Chennai. Apart from songs Ajith completed an action sequence by taking heavy risk. To capture the close action scenes during running, walking and turning, he carried a big mount camera weighing 30 kgs on his body. Directed Venkat has brought this idea and Ajith has accepted immediately inspite of having many surgeries on his body.


Mankatha completed rolling the camera in Chennai and will be moving to Mumbai to capture the rest of the scenes.
