When a source asked about her meet with Barrack Obama she said that he is a thorough gentleman simple and intelligent. She even invited him for the premiere of her film “Love”, which he gracefully accepted.
In fact, she feels that her life is the same as Obama's. She does not come from a filmi family, nor does she have a Godfather. She is from Haryana, but changed the rules of the industry with her work and so has Obama. She entered an industry dominated by ones who use their surname as a passport, yet Mallika managed to make a name for her.
That’s why she thinks they both are changing the rules of the game in their own way. On asking the constantly drawn criticism for her acting and her dressing, she said that this is what she also wants to know. She is the only Indian actor to have met the President of the United States, the most powerful man on earth.
And she feels that still people try to pull her down instead of celebrating the fact that an Indian has made it big. Her obituaries have been written a number of times, but somehow she manages to resurrect herself.
God has been kind. Society celebs and the so-called blue bloods of Bollywood are the only ones who have a problem with her. She thinks they can't stand the fact that she has made it without making any compromises.
