After the buzz started in the Tamil cinema news sources about Rajnikanth’s hospitalization, the real reasons for his illness are now coming into limelight. It is a well known fact that Rajnikanth was a heavy boozer and used to consume 10-12 pegs of whisky, in single sitting, from the past 30 years. There is news that, Rajnikanth left the alcohol consumption on persuasion of his family members and his Himalayan guru.

From the year 2011, he is away from alcohol and this is leaving restlessness in him.
