JayaTV’s number one programme Jackpot in a new season is getting a facelift. Popular actress Simran who was once the rage of Kollywood will be hosting the all new Jackpot, the number one reality game-show on Tamil television. Jackpot will be telecast every Sunday 8 to 9 PM.
Says Simran: “ The kind of reach Tamil cinema gave me is phenomenal. There is not much difference between small and big screen. I’m sure Jackpot already a proven hit will give me a new reach.”
Top talk show anchor and actor Yugi Sethu is hosting Yugiyudan Yugiyungal. Says Yugi Sethu: “Yugiyudan Yugiyungal will discuss current affairs, music, arts, cinema, culture, history and the world around us. I’m making a comeback to television after a break”
Some of the other programmes listed are actor Suresh hosted multi-talented reality show Jayika Povadhu Yaaru, a competitive cooking reality show Tamizagathin Samayal Champion hosted by Chef Soundararajan, Kaushik and Manohar. Madhan Talkies where cartoonist Madhan offers a weekly analysis of Tamil cinema.
There is also something for the kids in Superkid, a programme hosted by Anu Haasan, in which prices worth Rs 50 lakhs are to be won.
Sources have also indicated that Jaya TV would be going on an aggressive buying spree of top Kollywood movies. The buzz is that Vijay’s Velayudham satellite rights have been snapped up by Jaya TV.
