After last Friday’s lacklustre opening of Vedi, Muran and Vaagai Sooda Vaa, there are going to be five more releases during the long Pooja weekend.
As of now on October 5, Ayudha Pooja day Nandha’s Veloor Mavataam is releasing along with Varthangle 20. On October 6, Vijayadasami day the long in the box, Srikanth-Sonia Aggarwal Sathurangam is due. Friday October 7 will see two more releases, Ra.. Ra.. and Varnam.
It means a total of 8 films would have released in 8 days between September 30 and October 7!
Says a trade analyst: “When will the trade learn from their blunders, of too many releases eating into each other’s business?”
