Rajini flys to Mumbai for Raa One

Rajinikanth decided to fly down to Mumbai despite being advised by the doctors and his family to keep away from work at least tills November. The Tamil actor will be shooting at Subash Ghai’s Whistling Woods Studio in Mumbai.


A source revealed, 'The earlier plan was to shoot at Ramoji Rao studio in Hyderabad on October 4. But Rajini sir thought Gandhi Jayanti would be a more appropriate date to resume work. He thought shooting in Mumbai made more sense since the film is in Hindi.'


The RA One team thought shooting at Whistling Woods was safer, since Ghai is an old friend of Shahrukh`s and would ensure the shoot went off smoothly, added the source.


However, Rajini’s daughter Aishwarya refuted the news and said that her father wasn’t shooting for RA One.


Sound designer Resul Pookutty has confirmed Rajini’s visit. He said, 'I am excited that Rajini sir will be part of Ra.One. The thought of seeing both superstars (Rajinikanth and Khan) come together in one frame is exciting.'
