Lakshmi Rai in veerappan wife role

A bio-pic is being made by director AMR Ramesh on Sandalwood smuggler and Elephant poacher Veerappan. The film is titled Vana Yuddham. The makers have approached actress Lakshmi Rai to play the role of Veerappan’s wife in the movie and the actress immediately gave her nod for her role. Kishore is essaying Veerappan character in this sensational film.


Director Ramesh told that this movie won’t degrade or cause any damage to Veerappan’s character and he is trying in to depict facts and real stories. He also added that this film is not a regular commercial movie.


On the other side, the film showcases the reasons for Veerappan to restrict himself in the forest and his death encounter with Task Force. The film will also deals with controversial topics like Kannada Kanteerava Dr Raj Kumar’s kidnap and other issues. Veerappan died on October 18, 2004.
