Ra One sets a new record in Indian box office by earning a gross of Rs 170 Crore

Shah Rukh Khan has already established a sigh of relief following latest Box Office numbers of his Diwali bonanza, the mega movie of the entire year – ‘Ra. One’. The film has set a new record in the Indian box office by earning a gross of Rs 170 crore worldwide within the opening weekend (first five days of release). He was just a little worried when his first day figures reported it at the rear of Salman Khan starrer ‘Dabangg’. ‘RA. One’ opened at more than 3, 100 plus screens in India and 904 images internationally, including 3D, Tamil and Telugu. In the UNITED KINGDOM, for some strange reason, the film didn’t open wide and it is getting a bigger release only from Oct 31st. Nevertheless, experts feel that even if these figures are precise, ‘RA. One’ is still a long way away in the ‘3 Idiots’ lifetime gross of Rs. 358 crore.

Anyhow, SRK’s movie is scheduled for theatrical release in the very first quarter of 2012 across several territories including South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Spain, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria and Palestine, Brazil, Spain, Italy as well as Greece. Hopefully, it would help it achieve its focus on. Another good news for the King Khan. 'Ra. One' may have come and gone but 'Don 2' would get SRK a lot of money, say astrologers. Besides, his team KKR will hopefully perform well within the next IPL. All this is significant in the midst associated with his 46th birthday on Nov 2, 2011!
