FIR against actress Genelia D'souza

A court in Hyderabad directed the police to register an FIR  against actress Genelia D'souza and five directors of a real-estate firm for allegedly cheating a customer by failing to construct a duplex house at Maheswaram mandal on the outskirts of the city.


In his complaint before the First Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court here, one Ch Tirupathaiah, alleged that firm, whose brand ambassador was Genelia, had failed to construct a duplex house, though, he had paid Rs 54 lakh towards booking the plot-cum-house in their venture.


Being the brand ambassador of the firm, Genelia also made false promises through advertisements and brochures and cooperated with other accused in cheating, the plot buyers Tirupathaiah's counsel Balaji Vadera claimed.
