“Varudu” fame Tollywood/Kollywood actor Arya’s recent housewarming party had the Who’s Who of Kollywood present on the occasion. Sources say that the actor, whose career is on an upward swing post Vettai, has reportedly bought a swanky apartment in a posh Nungambakkam neighborhood. The plush 2000 square-feet flat also had a surprise visitor at the centre of attention during the party. It was none other than the ‘Missing in Action’ lovely lady Nayanthara.Other glamorous guests included Udhayanidhi with wife Kiru, Trisha, Vishal, Jiiva, Amala Paul, director Rajesh, Nirav Shah, Vishnuvardhan with wife Anu, Andrea and the entire Star Cricket team. The finest drinks flowed and the highlight of the night was the delicious biryani prepared by Arya’s mother, which was lapped up by everyone. This was Nayan’s second visit to the city after her break-up with Prabhu Deva. A little birdie tells us that Arya asked Nayan to come to the party as he wanted to coax the Billa actress to sign on the dotted line for the Tamil remake of Delhi Belly, which he himself is likely to take up. When contacted Arya, the actor seemed peeved that people have ‘misconstrued’ the facts. “I didn’t have any housewarming ceremony. It’s an old flat owned by my family for the last six years. We have been using it off and on. I did arrange for a get-together. I was planning one since we won the celebrity cricket match. We used the free time thanks to the ongoing strike. Everyone was present in the city and made it for the party,” he clarified.
