Kamal Theatre owner VN Chidambaram Chettiar passed away today, November 24th, 2012. He was 76. Chidambaram had been admitted to a private hospital in Madurai some days ago following some health issues but met with his end this morning despite the doctors trying their best.
The late VN Chidambaram, who lived in Madurai with his family, owned the Kamala Theatre and Kamala Mini Theatre in Chennai. He was survived by wife Kamala and three sons.
