With each passing day the expression of art through cinema is getting throttled in the name of ‘sentiment getting hurt’ ‘community shown in bad light’ and many other trivial reasons. Cinema is cinema and it is bound by bodies like censor board who know where to put a check but the external factor disturbance has become too high.
The recent instance of the film ‘Vishwaroopam’ getting banned has created major discussions. Now, the talk is rising on what would be the fate of the film ’26/11 Terror Attacks’. Based on the Mumbai terror attacks, the film also has a reference point to a particular community. We have to see how far it will go.
The fact is, without a proper conspiracy things will not happen. If issues have happened on ‘Vishwaroopam’ ‘Dhenikaina Ready’ etc then there is someone who is pulling the strings from behind but the mob taking part in protests will not know except one or two.
Coming back to the film, it is heard that director RGV spoke very good about Islam at the end. Let us wish the film comes out peacefully as it is scheduled to release on March 1st in both Hindi and Telugu versions.
