They were shooting on adjoining sets in Binny Mills for Mankatha and Velayudham respectively. According to sources, they greeted each other and had a good chat about their upcoming projects. Ajith also wished Vijay for his next release Kaavalan, adds a source.
The buzz is that both is on the same page politically, and is the only two actors who stood up to the domination of the ruling party.
In recent interviews they have mulled indirectly about joining politics, creating tremors in TN politics.
Meanwhile director Venkat Prabhu has tweeted: "Wow Thala and Thalapathy in the same place shooting! It was great to see both of them together!"
However, Ajith Kumar starrer Mankatha will be released on May 1 and Vijay's Velayudham will hit the screens on June 22.
