Within hours the news spread that Superstar Rajinikanth was not feeling well, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi rushed to the hospital where the matinee idol was admitted to and enquired about his health.
Accompanied by daughter and Rajya Sabha member Kanimozhi, the octogenarian came to the hospital on a wheel chair and met Rajini. He was received at the hospital’s entrance by Aishwarya Dhanush, older daughter of the Superstar.
Speaking to a battery of reporters who were waiting outside the hospital, the Chief Minister said, “Rajini had a case of exhaustion possibly brought on by dehydration. He is fine now and spoke to me well.”
Rajnikanth was discharged later in the evening. The numero uno actor of Tamil film industry had begun shooting for his period film ‘Rana' on Friday morning, but had an episode of vomiting.
