Miley Cyrus has been attached to star in a big screen adaptation of Wake, a paranormal novel penned by Lisa McCann, according to THR. The first part of a trilogy that targets young adults, Wake tells the story of 17-year-old Janie, who since the age of 8 is able to see into other people's dreams. Her unique ability takes a perilous turn when she is drawn into a nightmare and from a witness turns into a participant.
"Disturbia" co-writer Christopher Landon will write the screenplay for the film that is being produced by Paramount Pictures and MTV Films, who have also bought rights for the sequels "Fade" and "Gone."
Cyrus will commit to the film once it has been scripted.
