Vidya Balan is normally associated with adjectives like demure, ethnic, even style challenged, but AND magazine, which features her on its June issue cover, makes us think again. We always thought Balan was beautiful, in body and in soul, we just didn't realize she was also insanely hot!
We knew Balan had the talent to wow critics, but never realized she had the curves to make us drool!
In an ode to her style icon Audrey Hepburn, AND Cover girl Balan bucks the paradigm that beauty lies in the eye of the beholder, convincingly proving it lies in the eyes of the beheld.
For the accompanying cover story, AND captures her as she innocently says her morning prayer, giggles as she confesses that she oft misses her flights, plays sensuous games with her glamour gowns, and more.
You would think someone as talented - and now we know as hot - as Balan would have an attitude, but once again you would be wrong.
"Handling Vidya Balan was no handling at all. She was punctual, had no starry tantrums, though, she was very conscious of her image and look," says AND editor Jayita Bandyopadhyay.
"And even though she gave us perfect shots, her face emoting every emotion we demanded, when it came to stepping out of the dressing room in clothes she thought didn't flatter her, patience was tested.
"But Vidya was strictly professional, almost fanatically so. At 4.30 am, when we were almost wrapping up, we asked her to give us one more shot in a flamboyant hat. She was taken aback as it was not on the schedule and she was tired. But once she agreed to do it, she was diligent. And complained only after I said, 'perfect shot!'."
