Dhanush-Genelia's Uthamaputhiran has been cleared by the censors with a clean 'U' certificate. The film is said to be a family entertainer and is ready for release on Diwali day (Nov 5).The Mithran R Jawahar directed film is two hours and 43 minutes. The film has large supporting star cast consisting of Vivek, Bhagyaraj, Karnas, Ambica, Aarathy etc. It has music by Vijay Antony.
Dhanush’s Uthama Puthiran will be released on Diwali! This film, which is the remake of the Telugu smash hit Ready, which had a successful run at the theatres for 175 days, is being expected by Dhanush’s fans. UP’s Kannada version Ram was also a mega success.
For the first time Genelia is paired opposite Dhanush. Vivek, Bhagyaraj, Ambika and Karunas are also in the star cast. Mithran Jawahar, the man who gave hit films like Yaaradi Nee Mohini and Kutty with Dhanush in the lead, has directed this film.
Uthamaputhiran is the hottest film releasing for Diwali. It is being given preference by theatres as it is a family film and is opening in nearly 600 screens.
