Deepavali films are always special celebrations across the state for the fans and audience as they watch the films a few days preceding and succeeding the festival, Deepavali is a major and very auspicious for the people in Tamilnadu like it is in the rest of the country.
For this Deepavali we are not going to have big stars Rajini, Kamal, Vijay, Ajith, Vikram, and Suriya yet we have quality films. Now more or less we have four films hitting the screens for this festival.
The films releasing for 2010 Deepavali are Dhanush-Genelia starrer Uthamaputhiran, Vidharth- Amala Paul aka Anaka starrer Mynaa, Shiva, SPB Charan and Lekha Washington starrer Va Quarter Cutting, Arjun and Haripriya Vallakottai.
‘Uthamaputhiran’ the remake of Telugu blockbuster ‘Ready’ is hitting the screens tomorrow. The film is a wholesome family entertainer with a mix of action, romance and sentiments, which will be liked by all the generations. The film is getting unbelievable response as the title is a Sivaji Ganeshan’s super hit title of the 1960’s.
The film casts Dhanush, Genelia, K. Bhagyaraj, Aashish Vidhyarthi, Vivek, Jayaprakash, Mayilsamy, and R. Sundarrajan.The film is releasing in sixteen screens in Chennai.
‘Mynaa’ started as a small budget film and finally climbed the ladder as one of the most wanted film. The film is based on a true love story between two tribal youngsters. Vidharth played the role of Suruli and Amala Paul aka Anaka as Mynaa have portrayed the characters as naturally as they are. The film has a powerful story and spectacular ending. Director Prabhu Solomon has given a rare film and had done an amazing job.
‘Va-Quarter Cutting’ which is yet another film hitting the screens tomorrow. Shiva, SPB Charan and Lekha Washington are in the lead roles. The film is all about how Shiva and SPB runs in search of liquor before boarding the flight to Dubai. The film runs from 6pm-6am which is a mix of comedy and romance which happens in these 12 hours. The unit is waiting for the release and eager to share the success of the film.
‘Vallakkottai’ is also in the Deepavali race starring Arjun and Haripriya are the main leads. The film is the remake of super hit Malayalam Mammootty movie Maayavi. Vincent Asokan and Ashish Vidyarthi are playing the roles of antagonist. Actor-director combo of Vallakottai is coming for this festival to gratify action lovers. Thalapathi Dinesh stunts had composed the action scenes. The film is produced by Raja for ESK pictures.
The advance reservations for all theses films have already started in Chennai.
