Superstar Rajinikanth is back in action after taking a break post Enthiran. He is all set to start his daughter Soundarya’s dream project Sultan The Warrior, which has taken a new avatar. According to inside sources the movie, which was renamed Hara a few month’s back, has once again undergone a title change as Raanaa. Rajinikanth will be seen in a dual role. One is an animated Rajini, who has Vijayalakshmi of Chennai 28 fame playing opposite as a fantasy girl. Their animated combo scenes were canned a year ago in Hyderabad. It is ‘live’ Rajini for the other role and these portions are yet to be shot. Everyone knows that these segments are being directed by highly commercial filmmaker K. S. Ravikumar with whom Rajini shares a great vibe. The new addition to the movie is cinematographer Ratnavelu, the man behind Rajini’s awesome looks in Enthiran/Robot.
Though the reason for the title change is not known, earlier Vidya Balan’s name was buzzed as live Rajini’s pair. Now the grapevine has it that Trisha, who had impressed K.S.R.in Manmadhan Ambu, in all probability will be approached for the plum role. There are six songs including the much anticipated intro song of the superstar, two duets and a climax dance number in double Oscar-winner A. R. Rahman’s composition. Sources say that the intro song, penned by Vairamutthu, is a typical Rajini song which has been sung by his lucky mascot S. P. Balasubramaniyam.
