Maapillai to release on April 8th, 2011

Dhanush starrer Maapillai is all set to grace the silver screens on April 8th, 2011. The film makers have planned accordingly as the collections doesn’t get affected by the world cup season.


After seeing in a pucca mass role in critically acclaimed film Aadukalam, Dhanush is coming in a commercial role in Mappillai. The film is the remake of Rajini’s blockbuster film Mappillai, which was released in 1989. Hansika Motwani is playing the female lead in the film while Manisha Koirala will be seen the role of dominating mother-in-law, which is outstandingly played by yester years actress Srividhya. Suraj of Padikathavan fame has directed the film.


Mappillai will be the first film to release after the world cup season.
