Festivals containing exclusively Tamil films are being screened at the Norway Tamil Film Festival (NTFF) to be held between April 20 and 25 at Oslo.
At a press conference held in Chennai, eminent Tamil film directors like Cheran, Mysskin, Suseenthran, Prabhu Solomon and others lauded the efforts of Vaseedharan, Director of NTFF for his efforts to promote Tamil Cinema.
This year the following films will be screened at the festival- Enthiran, Angadi Theru, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaya, Kalavaani, Aadukalam, Madrasapattinam, Boss Engira Baskaran, Mynaa, En Swasame, Yudham Sei, Payanam, Tha and Thenmerku Paruvakaatru. In the Evergreen Classics category, MGR's Enga Veettu Pillai and Sivaji's Kappalottiya Tamilan will also be screened.
Vaseegaran: "In Norway there is a Tamil population, but mostly commercial Tamil films are screened. Our aim through NTTF is to see that good cinema is also encouraged."
