Things take a turn here and finally Jyothi becomes the scapegoat that lead to a crime and baton is passed to inspector Muthuraman [Kumaravel]. How did Aarthi handle Dinesh? How law takes its own course makes Vazhakku Enn 18/9 script.
Performances:
Sri got into the skin of his character Velu and became platform dweller with his good performance. Urmila has won a good start with Vazhakku Enn 18/9 and is sure to go a long way in Tamil industry. She is impressive on screen as Jothi.
Mithun Murali is tailor-made for the role of Dinesh, his extreme anxiety is brought out well by Balaji Shakthivel. Kumaravel should be specially mentioned for his show as a greedy cop. Manisha Yadav has done her part well.
Technical Analysis:
Balaji Shakthivel has once again come up with a script-driven movie Vazhakku Enn 18/9. But the director should be given a tap for bringing out exactly what he wants from his artistes and for his excellent screenplay as well.
Musical tunes and background scores composed by Prasanna are backbone of the film. Vijay Milton is the trademark for his cinematography in the movie, every single scene is best of its part in the film, especially the frames where Aarthi comes to know about Dinesh and his acts and the scenes where she manages to get his memory card are picturised well.
Gopi Krishna has done excellent editing, completing the works done by the entire cast and crew. Lingusamy’s Thirupathi Brothers and UTV Motion Pictures have jointly produced this crime-thriller Vazhakku Enn 18/9 without any compromises commercially.
Analysis:
Balaji has once again proved that he can make a new trend with real life inspired scripts, less known actors and script-driven films.
Vazhaku Enn 18/9 has good back ground score, perfect cinematography and excellent screenplay that made audiences keep guessing about the future till the end. The first half may be little flat but the suspense unfolds and lots of twists and turns occur in the latter part.
Vazhakku Enn 18/9 is the memorable creation of Balaji Sakthivel that goes around the youth getting attracted to the mms scandals, crime and investigation. More of sex, dishonesty and crime, but well narrated without any obscenity.
Final Verdict: Vazhaku Enn 18/9 is a do watch film driven from the lives of present youth.
